LARS VON TRIERS "ANTICHRIST" AT THE CURZON

A post-apocalyptic, threatening demonic story of extremely disturbing content and ideas set in a dark forest.

That was the task that Jyl Millard was set as she created an opening weekend installation to match the mood and themes of
Lars von Trier's film "Anti-Christ" at the Curzon Cinema in Soho, London.

Using hundreds of yards of fabric, paint, netting and a replica pharmacy, Jyl transformed the lobby of the cinema into a
preview of the film's sinister landscape, engendering an atmosphere of fear and anxiety from the moment film goers entered the theatre.

LONDON BUS STOP INSTALLATION

With the goal of transforming rush-hour into an artistic and social event, Jyl Millard created an
eye-catching installation at ten bus stops all over central London. Festooning the purpose-built stops
all over with flowers as well as posting questions for fellow travelers to use as conversation starters,
getting to and from work became an unexpected visual experience.

By altering perceptions of a place that one normally pays no attention to, the familiar became unfamiliar
in a way that sparked humor and became a way for strangers to actually talk to one another...
